HWC US Open Training Camp
The Hawkeye Wrestling Club U.S. Open Training Camp is designed for high level athletes to train freestyle wrestling alongside of University of Iowa and Hawkeye Wrestling Club athletes in preparation for the upcoming freestyle season.
Technique, live combat, and proper recovery will be highlighted our camp held at the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Limited to 25 athletes and open to any and all that meet the following requirements:
- Registration opens 3/24/25
- 7th grade and above
- Current USA Wrestling Card
- Cost: $10

Wednesday, April 9
- 8am: Technique Session
- 3pm: Technique / Live Combat
- 8:45pm: Optional Recovery
THursday, April 10
- 8am: Technique Session
- 3pm: Technique / Live Combat
- 8:45pm: Optional Recovery
Friday, April 11
- 8am: Open Mat (Drill, Spar, Live)
- → View State-of-the-Art Training Center Seminar on Proper Recovery, Weight Training, etc.
- 3pm: Matches / Live Combat
- 8:45pm: Optional Recovery
Saturday, April 12
- 8am: Technique Session
- 3pm: Technique / Live Combat
- 8:45pm: Optional Recovery
Sunday, April 13
- 8am: Open Mat (Drill, Spar, Live)
- 3pm: Conclusion of Camp
