Wrestling Fanatics!
I hope your first month of 2023 was as exciting as ours! We had several big matches and are fine-tuning our athletes for the postseason push! Our last two B1G duals are this week (at Minnesota) and next (vs Michigan) followed by one final test (vs Oklahoma State) before the B1G Championships in Ann Arbor, MI!
Pat Lugo, Austin DeSanto, Alex Marinelli, and Cody Chittum all brought home medals from the Grand Prix de France Henri Deglane, in Nice, France last month! Lugo (65kg) and DeSanto (61kg) won GOLD, Marinelli (79kg) took SILVER while Chittum (70kg) brought home BRONZE. Lugo, DeSanto, and Chittum will compete next in Alexandria, Egypt at the UWW Rankings Series Tournament! Thank you all so much for your support, traveling and competing at events like these would not be possible without you!
We are currently working on bringing you, our most valuable and supportive fans, more 50 Year Anniversary graphics, merchandise, and content! We only celebrate our 50th once, so everything we put out is limited edition and won’t be replicated! We are also spending a lot of time planning our Annual Banquet – 50 Years of Excellence, to be held in mid May, right here in Iowa City. 2022 Annual Giving Summary
This past year we changed donor management systems, so our 2022 annual summaries will be generated by two different websites – DonorBox & Classy. All online transitions will be accounted for but will be produced in two separate reports from us. If you also gave offline with a check, that will be emailed to you separately from these reports. Donors can expect to receive these summaries by the end of this week!

We have a few pre-match socials left for the season! The University of Iowa will face Michigan on Friday, Feb. 10, and then Oklahoma State on Sunday, Feb 19. Our socials will be at Sports Column and Joe’s Place respectively. We hope you can come – All are welcome! Below is a complete list of our upcoming events!
If you want HWC gear look no further! We now have a general store that lives on our website! Orders typically get sent out the same day if they are received before 3:00pm! We just added a new HWC NIKE hoodie and coaching polo to the store. Supplies are limited so get your orders in today!
