We take great pride in promoting and elevating the sport of wrestling. Every social media follower, event attendee, Inner Circle, and Board of Trustees member matters. Your generosity is a powerful force behind our continued success. And we want to continue to expand — growing our unique sport to an even broader audience.
This summer, you’re going to see us pushing hard to gain more recurring donors, or as we call them, Inner Circle members. These consistent and loyal supporters are the backbone of our fundraising efforts. Their monthly contributions allow us to support our athletes’ professional pursuit of becoming World and Olympic Champions. And as you can imagine, being the best in the world is a full-time endeavor. With your financial support, we can offer the most competitive wages to ensure our aspiring athletes have everything they need to be successful.
You will be vital to the success of this Summer Push for Support. You can help us recruit new fans who care deeply about the success of Iowa Wrestling and want to see our Hawkeyes win at the highest level, on the national and world stage.

Spencer Lee (57kg) joins teammate Stephen Buchanan (97kg) at FINAL X after winning the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in Louisville, KY!!
Spencer defeated Brody Teske (12-2) & Anthony Knox (13-3) in dominant fashion to qualify for his second FINAL X appearance in two years. Spencer will once again face Luke Lilledahl, from Nittany Lion Wrestling Club, and Buchanan will see five-time World & Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder in the best-of-three championship series on Friday, June 19 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. These matches decide the US Senior Men’s Freestyle World Team spots for each weight class. You can buy tickets online here.
After Stephen Buchanan won his first US Open, he competed at the Pan-American Championships and brought home silver. He won his first two matches by technical fall, and fell in the championship finals to 2024 Cuban Olympian, Arturo Torres.
Austin DeSanto also competed at the Pan-American Championships and won the 61kg weight class! Austin went unscored upon, outscoring his opponents 39-0! He was 4-0 on the day, winning three matches by technical fall, and won his final bout 9-0, versus Caleb Smith of PUR. This was Austin’s 5th international medal of the year and his fourth gold!
Austin then traveled to Louisville, KY to compete at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament — taking third place. Austin lost to Aaron Seidel in the opening round and then beat NCAA champion Natan Tomasello to propel himself into the bronze medal bout, where he received a medical forfeit.
Because DeSanto & Patrick Kennedy got 3rd place at their last qualifying event, they will both wrestle for true-third prior to the start of the best-of-three series matches at FINAL X. Austin will wrestle Benjamin Davino, while Kennedy will face Evan Wick!
All matches can be streamed online at flowrestling.org, or you can purchase tickets online here!
Our Riverside Golf Outing at Bluetop Ridge is at the end of this month (June 29), and we already have a nearly sold-out event with over 130 golfers registered to play! If you want to join us, make sure to secure your spot as soon as possible — the last few spots will fill up quickly.
Like each of our events, all proceeds will go towards supporting our athletes’ professional pursuit of becoming World and Olympic Champions. Being the best in the world is not a part-time endeavor. With your financial support, we can offer the most competitive wages and can attract the best talent to live and train in WRESTLETOWN, USA year-round.
