As we celebrate the Fourth of July this Friday, we’re reminded that these colors don’t run. We take immense pride in representing not only the red, white, and blue of this great nation, but also the black and gold of our beloved HAWKEYES. Here in Iowa City, we hold loyalty, respect, discipline, and integrity close to our hearts — values we strive to nurture every day. Whether it’s a nation, a team, or an individual, greatness comes not just from possessing these values, but from living them out consistently.
Spencer Lee and Kennedy Blades are World Team Members! Both won two straight matches at FINAL X, their best-of-three US Senior World Team Trials, in Newark, NJ last month. With these wins, Blades & Lee will represent the United States of America at the UWW World Championships in September!
Spencer (57kg) will wrestle Sunday & Monday, September 14-15, while Kennedy (68kg) will compete on Wednesday & Thursday, September 17-18 at the Arena Zagreb, in Croatia’s capital city of Zagreb.

Riverside Casino & Resort’s Blue Top Ridge Golf Course has hosted our SOLD OUT annual event for several years now and this year was no different – We had 150 golfers, 20 hole sponsors! The winning team was Justin Stanley, Corey Stanley, Brian Crotty, and Curt Reekers shooting a 54, 18 under par!

Every fall – prior to a home football game – the University of Iowa Wrestling team hosts open practices for our fans to attend. This environment is hot, intense, intimate, and one of the most prized wrestling traditions at Iowa! This year, our Open Practice will coincide with Homecoming and the Iowa vs Indiana football game on Saturday, September 27th.
Following our practice, everyone will head outside to our tailgate party. You, along with other wrestling fans can enjoy food, play games, and drink some beverages prior to kickoff!
