Pat Lugo (65kg), Austin DeSanto (61kg), and Cody Chittum (70kg) just competed at the UWW Rankings Series Tournament in Alexandria, Egypt! Dan Dennis coached DeSanto to a bronze medal and Chittum to silver! DeSanto & Chittum were both 3-1 in the tournament while Lugo was 2-1. All of our guys wrestled very well. Chittum lost in the finals to the 2022 U23 world champion and Austin fell to the Ukrainian in the semifinals. Lugo lost to the eventual bronze medalist from Uzbekistan in the quarter-finals. All of the matches from the tournament are archived on Flowrestling.org.

UWW Rankings tournaments help seed athletes at World & Olympic Championships. The point system awards points in two ways; tournament placement and bracketing size. With our guys placing third and second, they each received 4pts & 6pts respectively. They also get 8pts additional points for having 10-20 athletes in their brackets.

Total Rankings Points for our guys: DeSanto 12pts, Chittum 14pts.
